So I went to the dentist this morning to fill some more cavities. (This cannot keep up much longer; at some point I am bound to run out of original tooth material.) Two of the fillings were so shallow that I didn't need any anesthesia at all, which was nice, because I hate the taste and the numbness. But the others left me feeling predictably rubbery, and I kept gnashing my teeth all the way home and not feeling a thing other than dull impact. I couldn't even apply lipstick properly: I tried putting the stuff on, and then simply could not purse my lips to rub it in. But I did make such hilarious faces in the rear-view mirror while trying that I couldn't help but laugh, which was a healthy thing.
And now I've discovered that I can't whistle properly. Now I have an inkling what Botox patients feel like. I ask you, why would anyone do that to herself?

i hate that feeling too! my little sister had botox shots in her forehead (for non-cosmetic reasons) and she couldn't move her eyebrows for months... she would say "i'm trying to frown at you but its not working." who knows why people do that voluntarily.
