Snow!

We had a winter storm warning on Wednesday, which was shortly followed up by the winter storm itself. Atlanta promptly shut down; as the first flurries of white flakes came down, every activity was canceled and the stores ran out of bread, milk, and toilet paper. I thought it was an urban legend when I moved here, but it's true: whenever it snows here (not too often, granted) people flock to the stores to stock up on supplies.

Meanwhile, Jane and Ella enjoyed their first brush with snow:

What fun pictures! Yes, I can relate to people making a raid on the grocery stores and there being NOTHING by the time I get there!

Wow, snow in Atlanta. You girls have no idea just how amazing it is that they got to see snow! Very cute, of course.

LOVE the pics!!

I've always found it highly ironic that people stock up on the very items that will go bad most quickly. Wouldn't it be wiser to stock up on non-perishables? Even the Bible says we couldn't survive on bread alone, hehe. Cans of soup, boxes of pasta, powdered milk, etc, now those seem more practical...and more plentiful since few people seem be on my bandwagon. By the way, are milk prices somehow tied to gas prices because the cost of a gallon of milk is ridiculous!!
