I just found out that port is simply wine from Portugal. How very boring! Here I thought it was some classy drink that all proper English gentlemen had on their side-tables, and it's merely another variation on alcohol.
We just finished the bottle of Mountain Rose wine that we bought on our honeymoon. It was a very sweet wine as wines go (and as wines go, it went), although I still cannot drink alcohol in any form without cringing from the aftertaste. I'm still working (all work still being in the theoretical sense, and not the practical sense) on patenting a splendid invention, a cross between sparkling apple cider and champagne: the exciting taste of the former with the happy after-effect of the latter.

Hmmm....Portugal makes a rich, heavy wine with a higher alcohol content then. Not surprising!
